ROOT & BRANCH REGISTER — DAILY DIGEST

Standard v0.10 §6.4. The Register is append-only. This digest is a Merkle
root over every Entry, Record, Practice Record and Condition Observation held
on the stated day, so that any of them can be shown to have existed on that
date. The root is published in at least one public location the Registrar does
not operate. The Register does not depend on any one such service to function.

A published root is never changed. When the Register's contents change, a new
digest is published alongside the old one rather than replacing it, and every
root that was ever published stays true of the files it covered. The newest is
always at /digest/latest.txt.
